When U.S. AG Alberto Gonzalez came to speak in favor of the NSA’s domestic surveillance, they got up, turned their backs on him, and unfurled a large banner that stated: “Those Who Would Sacrifice Liberty For Security Deserve Neither – Ben Franklin.“

Starting March 6, there will be about two weeks of hearings about:

Whether the Government of the United States of America can admit the confession of a Palestinian- American allegedly made to Israeli Occupation Forces under interrogation and systematic torture in the early 1990s.

The United States and Israel would like to keep it a closed hearing. We need support to make sure this doesn’t happen. Come to court on Wednesday.

Hi you guys,

I am writing because last year Mr. Dietzen complained that no one participated in the NLG web blog thingy.
The manager at HB, my boss, has ok’d the bus boy fundraiser.

I need to hear from two or three of you about a Friday night you could help me out with this fundraiser. Ideally, it would be before spring break and definitely before the regional convention. What do you guys think? Feb. 24th looks good to me….
It is going to be a really fun fundraiser (although not as fun as karaoke, I’m sure). All you have to do is talk to patrons, tell them about NLG, open wine bottles, drink some wine, and maybe sell some raffle tickets.
